I worked in corporate banking, made good money, and still had no idea where it was going. I was caught up in lifestyle spending, overcommitting to others, and not prioritizing my own financial health. Then came the unexpected I lost my job.
Budgeting became the tool that turned everything around. Within months, I repaid a four-year-old debt, built a $10K emergency fund in just five months, and started my business. Today, I've helped thousands of professionals and entrepreneurs do the same gain control of their money, reduce stress, and still enjoy the lifestyle they love.
Marcia N. Armstrong is a transformational financial literacy leader, business finance coach, and entrepreneur whose work spans national programming, community empowerment, and corporate training. She currently serves as the Programme Coordinator for the Business Pillar under Barbados’ National Financial Literacy Programme within the Ministry of Energy and Business. In this role she designs and executes national initiatives that strengthen financial capability among entrepreneurs, MSMEs, and institutions across the island.
With more than a decade of experience in the offshore banking sector and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Wales, Marcia blends technical expertise with a heart for service. She is a certified coach and the founder of A Purpose Life, a growing personal finance and business consultancy that equips individuals and organisations with the tools to build resilience, clarity, and long term financial stability.
